Stafford, Va. – Stafford-based business Flying H Aerial Pictures recently earned three Master Awards of Excellence at an international photography competition held during the Professional Aerial Photographers Association International (PAPA) conference in Redondo Beach, Calif. This recognition is one of the highest photography honors given during the association’s annual competition.
Susan and Dan Hedenberg, owners of Flying H Aerial Pictures, specialize in aerial photography for real estate, development and construction markets. Mrs. Hedenberg took two of the award-winning photographs, one of the famous Ghost Ships in the James River titled “The Master Speaks” and another titled “Old Ways” depicting a Pennsylvania Amish family harvesting corn with a team of horses. Mr. Hedenberg captured the third winning image that he named “Why I Fly” from the open cockpit of a vintage Stearman airplane during a flight from Green Bay, Wis. to Gulfport, Miss.
“Susan and Dan epitomize the entrepreneurial spirit of the many small business owners in Stafford,” said Tim Baroody, Assistant County Administrator and Director of Economic Development. “They join a growing number of businesses in Stafford that offer varied and easily accessible services to our residents and businesses, closer to home.”
